Para Pleco "Sabaji" L75 3-3.5"
Common name: Para pleco, L75
Scientific name: Peckoltia sabaji
Distribution: Rivers in Guyana, Venezuela, and nearby countries
Habitat: Shallow, flowing water near river shores littered with submerged brush, root tangles, and sunken logs
Temperature: 76 – 82°F
pH: 6.0 – 8.0
Adult size: 8-10 inches
Diet: Unfussy omnivore that will eat dried foods, frozen and live foods, and blanched vegetables
Conspecifics: Generally peaceful with its own kind but might fight for hiding spots if there are not enough
Tankmates: Peaceful with all small community fish and fairly tolerant of all but the most aggressive cichlids
Notes: Like most plecos, Peckoltia sabaji might get territorial with other plecos or bottom-dwellers if not enough hiding spots are provided. Many species of plecos will rasp on wood to obtain both nutrition and fiber, so large pieces of driftwood are highly recommended as they provide cover and help facilitate this behavior.
